Playing with wind

Finding out how natural wind was behaving through spaces and if it could help cooling the place to acceptable levels of comfort for some expected times of a year, using #ThermalModeling and #CFDwindSimulation
The place tested was a small office floor at the top of a building block in Bangkok Thailand. #PassiveNaturalVentilation cooling was anticipated to work at daytime (working hours) some time during November to January / early February.
The results show exterior and interior openings support good windflow and the spaces have satisfactory #ThermalComfort (PPD < 20%) most times daytime during November to late January.
The results are somewhat good but we anticipate the place could give better comfort by reducing solar heat gains. Therefore, next round of the test, we will iterate the the model to include shadings and more thermal insulations.
Ps. Opening up windows during January is to be cautious due to high level of PM2.5 predicted around the time of the year at locations.
