Balancing act of heat (gain), daylight, and views.

For buildings in tropical climate, optimal performance façade sunshades are ones which utilise materials at necessary quantity to moderate window #SolarExposure to minimum, while support sufficient degree of good indoor #daylight, and desirable window #view areas.

To assist the project team in developing high performance sunshade design, at each design iteration, we conducted multiple types of analysis: #SolarRadiationSimulation to identify annual solar incidents on glazing windows, #DaylightSimulation to quantify areas with useful daylight and acceptable glare, and indoor #ShadowSimulation to show #glare impacts in the space.
